From June 14th (Wednesday) to June 20th (Tuesday), a Korea-Mexico cultural interact event, Korean picture book exhibition and reading activity event (event title: Korean Picture Book Friends) was held in Mexico.

 

This event, which began in 2022 in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of Korea-Mexico diplomatic ties, was held in Yucatan, Mexico, which is called the land of Korean immigrants is organized and held together. (Yucatan State Ministry of Culture, Yucatan State Central Library, domestic laplanta publisher)

 

With the good intention of promoting cultural interact between the two countries, such as introducing excellent Korean children's literature to Mexico and providing a place for descendants of Korean immigrants living in Mexico to experience Korea, Hanyu Group also provided 300 books of Korean literature during the event. We sponsored so that picture books could be donated.

 

The donated Korean picture books are used as textbooks not only for this event but also for descendants of Korean immigrants and local residents learning Hangeul at local state central libraries, public libraries and cultural centers in Mexico. Hanyu Group also joined in the meaningful work of promoting Korea.
